Product details:

Part of the Dickens' Village Series from Department 56. Victorian England at the time of Charles Dickens was a center of culture for the world, where many traditions we celebrate today took shape. A Habourmaster's role is vast and varied, with responsibilities ranging from port maintenance, operations, customs and inspections, safety and pollution control. In Great Britain, they are considered an appointed position to serve as the Queen's or King's Harbourmaster, and is typically served by an officer of the Royal Navy. Like our other buildings bearing the designation "By Appointment to Her Majesty," our charming rendition of a Harbourmaster's House carries the royal coat of arms. From the large upper story window, the Harbourmaster easily watches the port from all sides, while the telescope on the balcony provides a distant view. Built on the dock's edge of brick and stone to withstand storms, the heavy patina on the roof proves salt is in the air. Creative details include the porthole window on the top gable, and artistic fish motifs carved in the stonework. A sign with compass coordinates and cartons from faraway lands add authenticity. Coordinates with 4050940 From Across The Pond accessory figurine. Electrical: Standard cord and bulb. Replacement Bulb: 56.99244.
